Hiya! It’s been awhile since I last updated this story (sorry bout that) but I was busy having a baby! Little Vincent will be a whole month old tomorrow! With that said I have mostly recovered and he is sleeping more than just two hours at a time (up to four hours now yay!) so I was able to finish this chapter (and should again be able to update at least once a month). Thanks for all the great reviews! I always enjoy reading them! Big thanks to all my awesome readers and reviewers and of course my beta Dena!

---------- Chapter 16 ---------- I’m Sorry
“Miroku! Look out!” Sango cried as she saw a demon coming at him from behind.
Miroku turned around enough to block the demon coming at him with his staff but when he turned his attention to this demon he missed the one coming straight for him. It slashed his side and Miroku shouted out in pain, grasping his side. Bringing back his hand he noticed a great deal of fresh blood covering it.
Sango looked at him in despair as she tried to get to him but got cut off every time she tried. Killing demon after demon, she only moved a couple feet closer to him before being pushed bac

Kagome’s eyes fluttered, squinting on occasion as she began to return to the living world; the odd groan escaping her lips as her hazy eyes tried to adjust to the bright light streaming into her room.
Her mind whirled, confusion being of course the winner of her endless rambling going on inside her head as she tried to figure out what had happened and why she was… well wherever she was.
“Ughh… my head, I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus…”
Blinking another time she eventually plucked up the energy to push herself into a sitting position, her hands running along the soft feel of the furs draped acros

Ch. 6 Shopping Shenanigans
“Everyone keeps staring at you,” Kagome whispered, casting an accusing look at the crowd.
“I know I put on my shield to hide my true self from humans,” Sesshomaru reminded her.
Kagome huffed, “Yes you did, but you’re….”
Sesshomaru casted her an amused gaze, “I’m what?”
“You’re… You’re… You’re still too beautiful and it

Ch. 1 Shattered Dreams
The trees were coming back to life with new leaves covering the branches and an array of colorful flowers filled the fields. The sweet scent carried on the gentle breeze, casting a soothing feeling over the little village by the river. Butterflies and hummingbirds were flittering everywhere as the somber winter mood lifted from the presence of spring.
Although the darkness of winter and the mood it casted did not lea

Ch. 5 The Truth
The night proved to be difficult with restless sleep and the nightmares torturing Sesshomaru. He awoke with another start, feeling his heart hammer within his chest. He lulled his head to the side to look out the window and saw the sun cresting over the mountains, bringing the dawn of a new day.
He would not be able to hold the truth from Kagome any longer. She would be presented with all the horrors of what the Underground really
Mako flamed into the council room with his usual annoyed expression on his face. He couldn't believe his brother anymore; Bolin was getting on the young god's last nerves.
Mako was sporting his usual Fire God attire: a red cloth wrapped around his waist about knee length being held together by a simple knot, two gold bands with red flame insignias on the sides on each of his upper arms, a thinner gold band on his right ankle, and a red scarf wrapped around his neck.
He could feel his body heat up from anger.
"You're starting to steam." A strong famine voice said in a sing-song voice. Mako turned to see a watery
